End of an Era: No U-Pick Berries at Rowe’s Produce Farm

Rowe’s Produce Farm in Belleville, Michigan, where I’ve picked berries for several decades, announced they would no longer have u-pick strawberries.

What an incredible surprise I had this weekend when I saw my first-of-year monarch caterpillar munching on swamp milkweed (Asclepias incarnata) leaves in my backyard garden.
