To get started, log in to&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/usc.joinhandshake.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"\">Handshake<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/usc.joinhandshake.com\/student\" aria-label=\"\">&nbsp;<\/a>and select &#8220;Request New Appointment.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to make an advising appointment<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Appointments with Thomas Eng (<a href=\"mailto:thomasen@usc.edu\" aria-label=\"\">thomasen@usc.edu<\/a>) and Valerie Savior (<a href=\"mailto:savior@usc.edu\" aria-label=\"\">savior@usc.edu<\/a>) are all scheduled via&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/usc.joinhandshake.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"\">Handshake<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After logging in, click on&nbsp;&ldquo;Career Center.&rdquo;:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select&nbsp;&ldquo;Appointments.&rdquo;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;&ldquo;Schedule a New Appointment&rdquo;&nbsp;button in the upper-left of the page.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Select &#8220;Price Career Services &#8211; Focused Career Advising&#8221;. Then select the best reason for making an appointment which includes the option for &#8220;Internship\/Job Questions (for F1, J1 Student Visa Status)&#8221;. You will see a list of available appointment dates appear based on the category and type selected. From this page, you can use the Category, Type, Staff Member, and Appointment Medium menus to change selections and see appointment availability options.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Click on a time that works for you, enter details about the appointment in the&nbsp;&ldquo;What can we help you with?&rdquo;&nbsp;section.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;&ldquo;Request&rdquo;&nbsp;in the lower-right of the screen.&nbsp;You will be taken to the overview of the appointment where you can cancel the appointment or add comments before the appointment!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 id=\"h-visas-and-sponsorship\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visas and Sponsorship<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Please refer to <a href=\"https:\/\/ois.usc.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"\">USC&rsquo;s Office of International Services<\/a> and the official website for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" aria-label=\"\">Department of Homeland Security<\/a> for the most up to date information.<\/p>\n\n<h2 id=\"h-employment-while-a-student\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Employment While a Student<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/ois.usc.edu\/\" aria-label=\"\">USC Office of International Service<\/a>&nbsp;holds the most accurate and up to date information regarding visa status employment requirements, Price Career Servies works to ensures that you have the tools to conduct a fruitful internship\/job search within your international student status.
