I'm excited to share that I'm joining @vercel as a DX Engineer! For the past few years, I've been writing blog posts, giving talks, and building demo apps around React and Next.js, all on my own time, because I genuinely love it. The deep dives into patterns, the experiments

I built a simple component visualization tool in my demo app (next16-commerce.vercel.app) to help explain concepts during my Next.js Conf talk. A lot of people asked if it was a real tool or if they could use it, but it was just a hardcoded thing. Amazing to see @huozhi actually

Been playing around with an idea of visualization that surfaces the component name, RSC env, source in `next dev`. Extended it little bit to show if a DOM node belonging to a Server or Client component. Inspired by the demo from @aurorascharff 's talk at Next.js Conf

I just enabled it for next15-filterlist.vercel.app this morning without any problems! It seems FCP (and LCP) are 0.1s rather than 0.2s, which is what they were at #nextjsconf...

And here we go: CSS inlining just landed in the latest Next.js canary. With a one line config change next-faster.vercel.app FCP got 30% faster. As noted in the article, CSS inlining makes a lot of sense for Tailwind sites as the CSS never growth beyond the base size
