Gardaí launch probe after 'number of mobile phones' stolen from beach

Gardaí have launched a probe after a "number of mobile phones" were robbed from a beach last Sunday.


As people head out for some sun across the weekend, beachgoers have been warned to be vigilant after a thief made off with a number of devices at Clonea Beach in Dungarvan, Waterford on Sunday, July 5.


Gardaí are appealing for anyone with any information to contact Dungarvan Garda Station.

A Garda spokesperson wrote: "Gardaí at Dungarvan are investigating the theft of a number of mobile phones from Clonea Beach on Sunday, 5 July. If anyone noticed anything or has some information, they are asked to contact Dungarvan Garda Station 058-48600."
