Tourists increasingly visit local supermarkets and corner shops to get a taste of everyday life in a new country, with 1 in 3 saying that they plan supermarket stops into their itinerary.

A study by InsureandGo examined nearly 500 supermarket items to identify the most popular snacks around the globe.

It analysed social media platforms: TikTok, YouTube and Pinterest to track how global search in viral supermarket snacks has shifted over the past year.
