To celebrate the launch of Decathlon’s ‘No Tent Left Behind’ Pledge in Ireland, one lucky reader will win a €500 Decathlon voucher just in time for the 2026 summer camping and festival season.
Already a proven success in the UK, the initiative has been introduced to help tackle one of the biggest environmental issues linked to outdoor events and festivals, the large number of tents abandoned each year and sent to landfill after only a single use.
Decathlon’s ‘No Tent Left Behind’ Pledge encourages more responsible camping habits while making outdoor adventures more accessible and sustainable. Customers can purchase selected Decathlon festival tents, use them throughout the summer season, and return them to a Decathlon retail store in Ireland by Saturday, 5th September in exchange for 100% of the original purchase value back on a Decathlon gift card.
Returned tents are then refurbished and resold through Decathlon’s “Second Life” programme, helping to extend the lifespan of outdoor equipment and reduce unnecessary waste. As part of the pilot programme in Ireland, the initiative applies only to a limited range of entry-level festival tents most commonly abandoned at outdoor events.
The initiative has grown significantly in the UK and its arrival in Ireland marks another important step in Decathlon’s commitment to supporting a more circular economy.
