Cruz Beckham's girlfriend Jackie Apostel poses topless saying 'scars are sexy' after major surgery

Jackie Apostel, who has been dating David Beckham's youngest son Cruz for two years, has marked the second anniversary of her spinal fusion and said she feels much stronger now

Cruz Beckham's girlfriend has shared a topless photo on social media, declaring "your scars are sexy" two years after undergoing spinal fusion. Jackie Apostel, 30, marked the second anniversary of her surgery with a moving post on Instagram.

She shared a carousel of images including two snaps of herself standing in front of a wall, wearing only jeans, and showing the scar on her back. "Your scars are sexy," she wrote on top of the first image.

The second was a close-up of Jackie's back, with the scar visible. She captioned the post, "2 years ago today I had my full spinal fusion. never ever felt better and we love a cute scar."

She concluded the post, written on the July 4 celebration of American independence: "Just a lil wear & tear jeans are @goodamerican (happy 4th!)"

Many fans commented on her post, with one writing, "Love this!!!! We're scar twins!!!!!" Another wrote, "So so stunning." A third described Cruz's girlfriend as "beautiful and strong" while someone else commented, "So so proud. u look so so beautiful. scars don't define a person they just make them even cooler."

Spinal fusion is a surgical procedure that permanently connects two or more vertebrae in your spine, allowing them to heal into a single, solid bone. The surgery stabilises the spine and eliminates painful motion, typically using metal rods, screws, and bone grafts.

Doctors generally recommend spinal fusion as a last resort when non-surgical treatments have failed to relieve pain or stabilise the spine, as explained by the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. In October 2024, Jackie posted a snap of the huge scar shortly after she underwent the operation.

She told followers on Instagram that she lost the ability to walk after the surgery and had to relearn how to. She never shared many details of her surgery but said the operation left her bedridden.

"Random thought. Wild to think 3 months ago I was relearning to walk and couldn't get up," she said. "Physically and mentally I had a hard time, took forever to be ok with myself again especially work and writing wise. Our bodies are awesome and capable of so much. Take a moment to be grateful for ur support systems, own willpower and strength, whatever ur going through.

"We all know it's ok not to be ok all the time and hope everyone is taking care of themselves as much as possible/taking moments to focus on mental and physical health. Also, check in on ur friends. Sending everyone health hugs and love!"

Last month, Cruz, 21, shared a glowing tribute to his girlfriend to mark two years of their relationship. The singer and musician, who is the youngest son of David and Victoria Beckham, has been dating the German-Brazilian singer-songwriter since June 2024.

Despite their 10-year age gap, the couple appear to be going from strength-to-strength, with Cruz taking to Instagram to celebrate their second annivesary. He shared a sweet black and white snap of himself playing his guitar as he gazed lovingly into Jackie's eyes.

"Jackie it’s been two years, I love you more than ever, happy anniversary my love, I am forever grateful for you," Cruz penned in a caption. He added: "You make me the best version of myself x."

Jackie, meanwhile, also took to her own Instagram where she shared a series of photos of the pair from throughout their romance. "2 years of loving my favorite human!" she declared.
