Run this one command:

Follow the prompts. Restart Claude when done.

1. Clone and build:

2. Open config file:

open ~/Library/Application\ Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json

3. Add this (replace your-key-here with your free Etherscan API key):

ETH_NODE_URL is optional. If set, on-chain queries (balances, blocks, transactions, gas, logs) use your node as primary source with Etherscan as fallback. You can also set it at runtime with set_node_url.

4. Restart Claude Desktop.

Use list_chains to see all or set_chain to switch the default.

Get your API keys:

• Etherscan: etherscan.io/apis (free, required)
• JSON-RPC: No key needed. Set ETH_NODE_URL env var or use set_node_url at runtime
• DefiLlama Pro: defillama.com/subscription (optional, unlocks 19 extra tools)
• CoinGecko Pro: coingecko.com/api/pricing (optional, higher rate limits + 5 extra tools)
• Dune: dune.com/settings/api (free, optional)

• Query limits: Up to 10,000 results per query
• Price lag: Data may be 1-5 minutes behind
• Full history: Use Dune queries for complete transaction history beyond 10k
