How to make an advising appointment
Appointments with Thomas Eng ([email protected]) and Valerie Savior ([email protected]) are all scheduled via Handshake!
After logging in, click on “Career Center.”:
- Select “Appointments.”
- Click “Schedule a New Appointment” button in the upper-left of the page.
- Select “Price Career Services – Focused Career Advising”. Then select the best reason for making an appointment which includes the option for “Internship/Job Questions (for F1, J1 Student Visa Status)”. You will see a list of available appointment dates appear based on the category and type selected. From this page, you can use the Category, Type, Staff Member, and Appointment Medium menus to change selections and see appointment availability options.
- Click on a time that works for you, enter details about the appointment in the “What can we help you with?” section.
- Click “Request” in the lower-right of the screen. You will be taken to the overview of the appointment where you can cancel the appointment or add comments before the appointment!

Employment While a Student
While the USC Office of International Service holds the most accurate and up to date information regarding visa status employment requirements, Price Career Servies works to ensures that you have the tools to conduct a fruitful internship/job search within your international student status. We greatly encourage all international students to gain relevant experience in the areas of your career interests during your time as a student, and it is a great way to practically exercise your academics while developing cultural competencies.
