Ensured 1.25.0 directive stays (manual toolchain setting).

NOTE: This upgrades client_golang remote lib to prometheus/client_golang#1996 which adds additional remote write receiver response parse limit.

Release notes for end users (ALL commits must be considered).

Reviewers should verify clarity and quality.

Looks like we can't update go.mod to the Go latest version because of previous Go version test - I assume we need to support latest-1

While we build with go 1.26, we always keep go.mod at latest-1 to not force downstream users to update to the latest version.

Good point, I updated to

This yields latest patch version (1.25.10). For some reason that changes go version in mod files to 1.25.6 for some reasons, but it's good enough - also this allowed more versions for some reasons. I think it's good to go

Removed magic toolchain - for now let's keep manual toolchain setting. This probably needs go mod improvement internally or some script that detects which Go versions are required by which deps and avoiding upgrading those. But all of this is not sustainable (e.g. vuln in dep), so generally we will have to bump go directive to some minor version no matter what.
